Pink Stripes

There are just days when I don't feel like mixing and matching clothes, and yesterday was one of those. My solution? I wore a dress! I'm actually not a dress person but I think that would change really soon! Not only would I have instant outfits for those lazy days. It would also save me when I'm in a hurry and wasn't able to prepare my outfit the night before. Ha! I better start stocking up on lovely dresses!

This dress I wore to work yesterday is an old one. I got it from a bazaar a few years back. I only bought it because of the cute bow on the front. I like how it gave the look of the dress some twist. I paired it with my black glitter ballet flats and a black bag. Also, I matched my watch to the gold hardware of the bag.

Merry Christmas!

Lace dress: Forever 21; Necklace: SM Accessories; Patent peep-toe pumps: Pedro

It's the most wonderful time of the year!! Christmas is finally here! Happy holidays, loves! I know that like me, most of you are busy spending time with your loved ones so I'm gonna make this short and quick. Instead of wearing a sprkly Christmas-y dress, I opted to wear this bodycon lace turquoise dress on Christmas Eve. I love how the texture added character to the look while the color made it lively, giving off a happy vibe. Just what we need on Christmas, right? I kept my accessories and shoes simple and just wore a statement necklace and nude pumps.  The dress deserves the spotlight after all!

What do you think? What about you? Tell me about your Christmas Eve outfit! Merry Christmas, loves!!

Sporty Chic

This look reminded me so much of a professional model off duty! Haha. Last summer, I had my first internship at Not Enough Circuses, Inc., a production house which does fashion shows. If you're familiar with Style Origin, those were the shows that we did, and this just-got-off-the-bed look is something that some of our models back then would wear to fittings or rehearsals. I think it's 'cause it's too comfy, just what they need for a very long day ahead.

Look at that pose! I told you, my peg was a model! Harhar. Let's move on to my outfit now, shall we? I've had this dress for months now but I've never worn it before 'cause I didn't know how best to! On my previous post, I told you all about my new kicks. I thought it's perfect for this dress, and it was! I love how my look turned out, giving the lazy, comfy vibe -- so perfect for a long day of walking and shopping.

The Tale of The Purple Dress

Dress: Forever 21; Patent peep-toe pumps: Pedro
Serendipity tattoo by Gene Testa

Remember me telling you about a dress I purchased here? Well, here it is! I wore it last Sunday to my baby brother Iñigo's Baptism. Wait, calm down! Let me tell you how I ended up with it first. Originally, I was going to wear a top, skinny jeans, and heels, but it seemed like it's taking me forever to search for the perfect top so I decided to look for a dress instead. After trying on countless stuff at Forever 21, I finally found a black sequined dress. I actually didn't want to wear black but since the dress is really nice (despite the sequins), I decided to go for it. I was on my way to the cashier when I saw this purple dress hanging on a rack, staring right at me. When I saw the back, I fell in love with it right away. Um, hello?! I've been searching for something like it for months! Plus it's more fitting to the occasion than the black sequined one, which is more suitable for a night out. When I tried it on, end of story. Harhar.

You're still probably thinking, Did you really wear that to a Baptism? Answer is yes. I'm may not be proper to wear this dress to a Baptism because of its low back but I knew exactly how to solve that problem the moment I tried it on: I'm gonna wear my hair down! You see, I have really long hair so my back wasn't exposed at all, I swear! During the reception, that was the time when I put my hair to the side. ;-)

Neck piece: SM Accessories

Now enough of the back. One thing I like about this dress is that it's really simple in the front. When given something like this, the key is to accessorize. I chose to wear my new neck piece form SM Accessories to add life to the dress. Perfect, isn't it? I love how SM now has lots of really nice AND affordable accessories to choose from. :)

By now, you've already learned a few tips and I'm not stopping there yet. Let me give you one more. Because of the really low back, there is a tendency for the sleeves of my dress to slide down my arms and no one wants that, right? There's only one way to solve that problem: double-sided tape! Very useful, I tell you. Just put where you want your clothes secured and voila! Hope you learned a lot from me today! :D

Although this occasion isn't fashion-related, I still want to share some photos since this is one important event in our life. Feel free to scroll down for the Baptism photos or read my other fashion-related posts!

Scarf

Scarf print dress: Get it here; Heel-less shoes: DAS

If you're a regular here on my blog, I'm pretty sure you know about the photo shoot my friends and I had for an online shop. If this is your first time here, you can read about it here, here, here, and here.

This scarf print dress is one of my favorites among the stuff that I wore. Haha, I know! I like a lot from the first collection. How I wish I could buy them all. Anyway, don't you think it's beautiful? I do! The black, white, and yellow combination is just right; unlike other clothes with scarf prints, this dress isn't to loud. Also, the back of this dress is plain black. I think it's perfect for those who are not much into prints but want to give it a try.

I paired it with heel-less shoes to give the classy look an edgy and modern side. Imagine if I wore it with the classic black pumps. Sure, the look would have turned out completely differently, more elegant, but my mood during the shoot called for heel-less.

What do you think?

The Cute Dress

Dress: Buy it here; Color block heels: Brash 'Jupiter'; Aztec necklace: Girl Shoppe

Here's another outfit I "modeled" for my friend's online shop. Cute, isn't it? I paired it with my pink and purple aztec necklace and color block heels so the lavender hue would pop out. Love how the entire look turned out! Do you, too? :)

7 Day Challenge x Party Pop

Dress: Sent from Heaven; Shoes: Brash 'Jupiter'; Purse: Prada

The fourth theme for our 7 Day Challenge homework is going-out/night. The first thing that I thought of is 'black'. I don't know why but I've always associated nights out with it. What I love about this dress are, first, the jewels on the shoulders and second, the huge armholes (which is not too visible on this photo, too bad). Sexy. Wild. ;-) Also, to give a life to the look, I threw on a colorful pair of heels. Voila! Now who wants to party with me?

7 Day Challenge x Jungle Red

Dress: Positive Signal (vintage); Suede pumps: Brash 'Komet'; Purse: CMG

The second theme for our 7 Day Challenge homework is 'date'. When choosing an outfit, I wanted something that would make me look really stunning without looking like I tried too hard. I thought this dress was perfect. It's very simple but if you look closely, the upper part is made of lace. That's what I love about it. But of course, the look wouldn't be complete without the matching red pumps and purse. I'm actually not fond of matching the color of my shoes to the color of my purse but to dress the look up a little bit, I went for it. What do you think?

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas!

Dress: Sent from Heaven; Heel-less shoes: DAS; Clutch: Sorry, dolls! Can't remember where I bought it -- I've had it for what seemed like forever! ;-)

Here's what I wore to my friend Charmaine's Vegas-themed 18th birthday party two nights ago. I must say, it was by far the best that I've been to -- not your typical debut! The Follies de Mwah Multi-Awarded Show Girls performed and they were amazing! Felt like I really was in Vegas. With this bejeweled little black dress, paired with my favourite pair of killer heels (or should I say shoes, cause really, where's the heels?), you can never be over- or under-dressed!
