Merry Christmas!

Lace dress: Forever 21; Necklace: SM Accessories; Patent peep-toe pumps: Pedro

It's the most wonderful time of the year!! Christmas is finally here! Happy holidays, loves! I know that like me, most of you are busy spending time with your loved ones so I'm gonna make this short and quick. Instead of wearing a sprkly Christmas-y dress, I opted to wear this bodycon lace turquoise dress on Christmas Eve. I love how the texture added character to the look while the color made it lively, giving off a happy vibe. Just what we need on Christmas, right? I kept my accessories and shoes simple and just wore a statement necklace and nude pumps.  The dress deserves the spotlight after all!

What do you think? What about you? Tell me about your Christmas Eve outfit! Merry Christmas, loves!!

The Tale of The Purple Dress

Dress: Forever 21; Patent peep-toe pumps: Pedro
Serendipity tattoo by Gene Testa

Remember me telling you about a dress I purchased here? Well, here it is! I wore it last Sunday to my baby brother Iñigo's Baptism. Wait, calm down! Let me tell you how I ended up with it first. Originally, I was going to wear a top, skinny jeans, and heels, but it seemed like it's taking me forever to search for the perfect top so I decided to look for a dress instead. After trying on countless stuff at Forever 21, I finally found a black sequined dress. I actually didn't want to wear black but since the dress is really nice (despite the sequins), I decided to go for it. I was on my way to the cashier when I saw this purple dress hanging on a rack, staring right at me. When I saw the back, I fell in love with it right away. Um, hello?! I've been searching for something like it for months! Plus it's more fitting to the occasion than the black sequined one, which is more suitable for a night out. When I tried it on, end of story. Harhar.

You're still probably thinking, Did you really wear that to a Baptism? Answer is yes. I'm may not be proper to wear this dress to a Baptism because of its low back but I knew exactly how to solve that problem the moment I tried it on: I'm gonna wear my hair down! You see, I have really long hair so my back wasn't exposed at all, I swear! During the reception, that was the time when I put my hair to the side. ;-)

Neck piece: SM Accessories

Now enough of the back. One thing I like about this dress is that it's really simple in the front. When given something like this, the key is to accessorize. I chose to wear my new neck piece form SM Accessories to add life to the dress. Perfect, isn't it? I love how SM now has lots of really nice AND affordable accessories to choose from. :)

By now, you've already learned a few tips and I'm not stopping there yet. Let me give you one more. Because of the really low back, there is a tendency for the sleeves of my dress to slide down my arms and no one wants that, right? There's only one way to solve that problem: double-sided tape! Very useful, I tell you. Just put where you want your clothes secured and voila! Hope you learned a lot from me today! :D

Although this occasion isn't fashion-related, I still want to share some photos since this is one important event in our life. Feel free to scroll down for the Baptism photos or read my other fashion-related posts!

Metrowear Fantasy

Last Sunday, Philippines' couture designers showcased their holiday couture collections during Metro Magazine's Metrowear Fantasy fashion show held at EDSA Shangri-la. For a couple of hours, I was in a world of whimsy and fantasy where I witnessed the spectacular creations of Joel Escober, Martin Bautista, Mak Tumang, and John Herrera, mentored by their senior designers Noel Crisostomo, Rajo Laurel, Frederick Peralta, and Cary Santiago, respectively.

Pink Collar

Top: Sent from Heaven; Skinny jeans: Forever 21; Color block heels: Brash 'Jupiter'

Let's do away with outfits that are for sale, shall we? For the past few days, I've been blogging about the clothes that we shot for my friend's online store. Now (at least for now), let me blog about something I really wore outside.

While planning for my Sunday ensemble, all I knew was that I wanted to wear this pair of color block heels. I've totally forgotten about them until our shoot and I wanted to bring it back to life!

As always, I can't wear anything too revealing because we hear mass so I wore skinny jeans. I suddenly realized I haven't worn jeans for what seemed like forever, I forgot how comfy it was! Anyway, since I wanted my shoes to stand out, I just wore a simple white top and finished the look with this pink peter pan collar necklace.

Peter pan collar necklace: K-Fab

I've always wanted to buy a collar necklace but I just couldn't find something that I really like, something unique. Yes, collar necklaces are being sold everywhere but admit it, the designs are too limited. Thanks to K-Fab, my little problem was solved! I haven't seen collar necklaces similar to this! Have you?! I love how the design resembles lace -- made it look like it's really part of my top from afar.

Black beaded bracelet: DIY; Silver bracelet with purple hearts: From Italy; Love/Peace bracelet: From a bazaar; Silver bangle: Gift from my brother; Braided bracelet: From a bazaar

Of course, I could not forget about the arm party! Haha. Lately, I never leave the house without wearing a stack of bracelets and most likely, this would go on for quite a while! Just a few days ago, I bought two new bracelets to add to my collection -- the Love/Peace and braided bracelets -- and I just had to wear them!

P.S. Make sure to check out K-Fab's Facebook page and follow them on Instagram. You just might find the perfect accessory or bag (Yes, the have bags, too!) that you've been looking for!

The Cute Dress

Dress: Buy it here; Color block heels: Brash 'Jupiter'; Aztec necklace: Girl Shoppe

Here's another outfit I "modeled" for my friend's online shop. Cute, isn't it? I paired it with my pink and purple aztec necklace and color block heels so the lavender hue would pop out. Love how the entire look turned out! Do you, too? :)

Pink Blossoms

Floral top: Buy it here; Cropped shorts: Armani Jeans; Color block heels: Brash 'Jupiter'

Modeled the same top in different colors!

Recently, I've been blogging about the shoot my friends and I had for an upcoming online store. Just yesterday, Tisha opened the store already. If you wanna see the rest of her first collection, click here.

Now let me tell you about the top I'm wearing here. One of the current trends this season is prints and this floral top is just perfect! The print on this top is not your usual florals (if you know what I mean when I said usual!) and that's why I love it so much! Also, the pink on turquoise combination is to die for! It's just so nice to look at, don't you think?

I wanted to dress down the top a bit so I paired it with denim shorts. I also wore those lovely heels which I think are made for the top. They're meant for each other! I mean don't you just love how it matches the prints on the top? I think it made the prints stand out even more. The colors are so bright and happy! Um, someone please remind me again why I didn't buy this top. :/

Anyway, if you're the type of person who is afraid to wear bright colored clothes, don't fret. The top is also available in black. :)

What do you guys think?

7 Day Challenge x Party Pop

Dress: Sent from Heaven; Shoes: Brash 'Jupiter'; Purse: Prada

The fourth theme for our 7 Day Challenge homework is going-out/night. The first thing that I thought of is 'black'. I don't know why but I've always associated nights out with it. What I love about this dress are, first, the jewels on the shoulders and second, the huge armholes (which is not too visible on this photo, too bad). Sexy. Wild. ;-) Also, to give a life to the look, I threw on a colorful pair of heels. Voila! Now who wants to party with me?

7 Day Challenge x Jungle Red

Dress: Positive Signal (vintage); Suede pumps: Brash 'Komet'; Purse: CMG

The second theme for our 7 Day Challenge homework is 'date'. When choosing an outfit, I wanted something that would make me look really stunning without looking like I tried too hard. I thought this dress was perfect. It's very simple but if you look closely, the upper part is made of lace. That's what I love about it. But of course, the look wouldn't be complete without the matching red pumps and purse. I'm actually not fond of matching the color of my shoes to the color of my purse but to dress the look up a little bit, I went for it. What do you think?

Print and Texture

Top: Massimo Dutti; Skirt: Sent from Heaven

Necklace: from Greenhills

Bag: Dorothy Perkins; Ring: Accessorize; Bangle: Gift

Shoes: Zara

I've had this lace skirt for two months now but I never got to wear it until last Sunday. That's because I could not find the perfect top that would go with it! I've tried on countless number of tops and failed.

Out of nowhere though, I found this paisley-print button-down top. I know, where has it been the past two months, right?! It was perfect for the lace skirt so yay!

I love how the monochromatic look turned out, and with the texture and print paired with each other, it even became edgier.

Fashion Section

Detailed top: Dorothy Perkins; Skinny jeans: Zara; Red pumps: Brash 'Komet'; Bag: Mango

Whenever I enter Fully Booked, or any book store for that matter, I almost always see to it that I go to my favourite section, Fashion. Although I prefer buying novels than this kind of books, I love browsing through them. Yesterday, my Mum snapped a photo of me while I was finding my way to the Fashion Section.

Fashion Design 08: Styling by Jacqueline McAssey & Clare Buckley
When I finally got there, I found myself looking for this book. Again. I saw it a few months back and since then, I've always wanted to buy it. Feel like I'd learn a lot from it! Now that I'm certain that I'm going to take up Fashion Styling at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, I might get the book real soon!

A Pop of Colour

Top: Mi; Skinny jeans: Topshop; Purple & pink heels: Brash 'Jupiter'; Bag: Mango

I've been wanting to wear my new pair of heels for a week now, but since we started the day late yesterday, I already know that after hearing mass, we won't be going anywhere that would require me to dress up really, really nicely. It still didn't stop me from wearing it, though. To dress down the heels a little bit, I opted for something simple and just grabbed one of my favourite pair of skinny jeans and a plain black top! Voila! ;-)
