Tartan

Fine, maybe I should stop saying that I'd post more often than I used to. Pft. So sorry, dolls! I'll try my best, though. :) Now, let's move on to my outfit. I wore this last week when my family and I went to Eastwood. My dad and my brother watched Die Hard while my mum and I, plus the baby, of course, hung out at Caffé Bene, a newly opened Korean coffee house. Loved the place! Anyway, this look is perfect for times like those. Feeling like a model-slash-Hollywood celebrity off duty again! Harhar.

I love the effortless and edgy but at the same time, stylish vibe the tartan print and combat boots combo achieved! You see, tartan, or plaid, just never goes out of style. I've actually had this top for years and I still get to wear it once in a while. What do you think of this look?  ;-)

Back to Basics

Most of you would agree that it's always fun and exciting to dress up or follow the latest fashion trends, but there are just times when I find myself going back to the basics. There's nothing special about this look. It's just a plain tank top, cropped denim shorts, embellished flip-flops, and minimal accessories plus messy hair and no make-up at all, giving off that effortless look. I love how laid back this is. I wore this outfit two days ago when I accompanied my mum to run some errands. What do you think?

And just when I thought there's nothing special about this look, I realized that my tank top is in 2013's color of the year: emerald! I've heard that emerald is gonna be a big hit this year. Now who says you can't be in while wearing the most basic pieces your closet could ever hold?

Take me back to California.

Top: Sent from Heaven; Cropped shorts: Zara; Combat boots: True Love

There is something about this look that makes me feel like I'm Kendall Jenner. The moment I put on my combat boots, I felt like I'll be walking around the small town of  Beverly Hills with the paparazzi following me. HAHA. Alright, I'll stop. Forgive the ambitious me! I just really miss the place and my cousins too much.

Let's move on to my outfit. I knew that we will be walking around the mall all day, shopping for stuff that we will me needing and getting things done for my baby brother's Christening so I wanted to wear something very comfortable. Solution to that? Shorts and a loose top so I can freely move around and combat boots for walking! I love how laid back the look turned out.

Aztec acrylic necklace: Personalized Accessories

I was also planning to buy a dress that day so I opted for less accessories for a fuss-free fitting. I mean don't you hate it when your accessories get all tangled up while you're in the dressing room? I do! It takes so much of my time! I just wore the aztec acrylic necklace I won from Laureen Uy's blog giveaway. Love how it matched my shorts!

Bag: Alexander Wang 'Hilary Leather Studded Shopper'

Look how I still managed to snap a mirror shot of myself before I started fitting! Can you guess which store I bought the dress I'm wearing to the Christening from? ;-)

It's the top that counts.

Top: Get it here; Cropped shorts: Armani Jeans; Sandals: My friend Tisha's; Necklace: Girl Shoppe

Serendipity tattoo by Gene Testa

I don't know why but there is something in this look that made me remember my friends. Maybe because this is something that I would probably wear when I am to spend a day with them to do nothing but talk and catch up over coffee. Very effortless and simple, perfect outfit for one lazy day. Don't you think?

Of course, this look wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the top. I mean imagine if it's just a plain boring one instead of this printed one. I'm sure you loves are already aware that it's for sale. The online shop belongs to my friend Tisha. Go check it out!

Sneakers Kind of Day

Cropped top: DIY from an old Junk Food shirt; Denim cutoffs: Armani Jeans

Yesterday, I went to my friend Tisha's place for a shoot for her upcoming online store. I, together with Weng and Ayie, modeled the clothes. Harhar. I know what you're thinking: A 5'2" model? Um, yeah. Nothing is impossible, you see! Heels were my best friend yesterday! It was so much fun -- modeling for the first time, goofing around with friends, laughing our hearts out, and catching up after not seeing each other for three months.

Anyway, before I get too emotional here, let's move on to my outfit. Since I know that I will be changing my clothes too many times, I decided to wear something really comfy, something that won't give me a difficult time to remove nor wear countless times.

Printed bandeau: Forever 21; DIY studs

See that cropped top I'm wearing? I was the only one who cut those! My friends even had their shirts cut by my proud self. :D And remember the three pairs of shorts I mentioned here and here? Here's the third and my favourite pair!

Sneakers: Converse Chuck Taylor

To complete my outfit, I donned on my really old pair of trusty Chucks. It's been years since I last wore these and yesterday, I just felt like wearing 'em. I thought that it looks good with my outfit too, instead of my overused booties that I'm sure you guys are tired of seeing me in.

Skull bracelet: Rebel Gear; Black beaded bracelets: DIY; Friendship bracelet: Girl Shoppe; 'mica' bangle: Had it made from a high school friend!

Lastly, accessories. I kept them to a minimum since I'll be removing them once I start to dress up for the shoot anyway. Just a few bracelets in colors from my top.

Halfway through the shoot, I found time to goof around with the huge mirror that my friend Rowena and I loved so much! Haha. Tomorrow, I just might post behind the scenes photos and photos of my crazy friends!

My tired self after the shoot!

Yesterday was too tiring but it was all worth it! I'll tell you more about it and Tisha's online store tomorrow!

Let the tiger roar.

Tiger shirt: Forever 21; Cropped shorts: Armani Exchange; Booties: Aldo; Tusk necklace: Oxygen

This season, it seems like we'll be seeing lots of animal heads everywhere! Well, animal heads printed on tops, to be exact. It was seen on the fall/winter shows of brands like Burberry and Kenzo and not so long after, I've been seeing shirts/sweaters with animal heads everywhere. And I can see why it's such a hit! I mean why settle with just the animal print when you can proudly wear the entire head on your chest?

I've had this shirt for quite a long time now. It was actually my first purchase from the first Forever 21 store here in the Philippines! Since then, I've worn countless times already. I know what you're thinking: Why on earth have I not posted an outfit shot earlier? Answer is, I don't know either!

DIY studs

Anyway, since it was too hot this day, I opted to wear shorts. Um, alright, that 'it was too hot this day' was just an excuse! I just love wearing shorts. Harhar. Remember the three pairs of studded shorts I told you about here? Here's one of them. :) I finished my look with my favorite booties. Most of you are probably tired of these boots but I just can't stop wearing them!

Watch: TechnoMarine; Heart bangle: Gift from my brother; Black beaded bracelet: DIY; 'mica' bangle: Had it made from a high school friend!

Skull bracelet: Rebel Gear; Black cuff: Can't remember -- too old!; Spike bracelet: Girl Shoppe

For my accessories, I just kept it simple and went for the black and silver scheme.

Let me know what you think!

P.S. Have I mentioned that I will be having my first blog giveaway real soon? Watch out for it, dolls!

Polka

Top: Can't remember the brand but I got it from a bazaar!; Shorts: Almost Famous; Booties: Aldo

Skull bracelet: Rebel Gear; Lime green friendship bracelet: Girl Shoppe; Spike bracelet: Girl Shoppe
The others, I can't remember where I got 'cause they're really old! :p

I wore this outfit last week when my mum and I went to a not-so-high end mall just nearby our place to run some errands. She even said that what I'm wearing is too dressy for the place and that I should just save it for when we are to go to a 'nicer' place.

Truth is, it's not at all dressy. It just looks like it. Agree? I mean it's just a simple printed top and denim shorts paired together. What made the entire outfit look dressed up though are the shoes and accessories. As I've said on my previous post, this pair of shoes is my current favourite so I've been wearing it a lot recently. As for the accessories, I'm getting obsessed with bracelets, cuffs, and stuff like it and I just love to wear lots of them at the same time. Arm party! Haha.

So from this, I can truly quote Marilyn Monroe and say, Give a girl the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world! ;-) What do you loves think?

Studs

Top: Rain Rain; Cropped shorts: Armani Exchange; Booties: Aldo
DIY studs
Arm party!

Remember the pyramid studs I mentioned here? Well, here's what I did to them! I've actually had three pairs of jeans which belonged to my mum in the 90's that I wanted to turn into shorts for ages but never got to do so just 'cause I was lazy. Just recently, I finally did it -- cut 'em and turned them into shorts. I also looked for pyramid studs 'cause  I know they'd be perfect for them and voila! Now I have three new pairs of high-waisted studded Armani shorts and I love all of 'em!

Here, I paired it with a really cute and unique cropped top and my favourite pair of shoes as of the moment. Also, to spice up the look a bit, I wore those bracelets, beaded cuffs, and things.

What do you guys think? :)

7 Day Challenge x Jumpin' in Leather

Mustard-yellow sheer button-down top: I.Candy (The Ramp); Cropped denim shorts: Topshop; Studded leather boots: Sent from Heaven; Bag: Mango; Braided belt: Forever 21; Necklace: Forever 21

The sixth theme for the 7 Day Challenge is concert/art exhibit. To be honest, I spent hours looking for an outfit for this theme. It's just so difficult 'cause I'm not really fond of watching concerts. I can barely remember the last concert that I've been to! Haha. I believe it really just depends on the artist and one's mood when planning an outfit for such occasion. Anyway, after hours of searching my closet, I finally came up with something. What do you think?

Ombré

Top: Sent from Heaven; Cropped shorts: Zara; Sandals: Forever 21; Bag: Alexander Wang 'Hilary Leather Studded Shopper'

Two days ago, we went to St. Luke's for my Mum's last check-up before actually giving birth (Yay!) and to TriNoma to run some errands, and here's what I wore. I was feeling so lazy to dress up that day because it was too hot. I was even supposed to shoot at least one outfit for the 7 Day Challenge that morning but gawd, was it hot! Thank goodness for this ombré top -- pair it with cropped shorts and voila! Now, does it look like I had a not-so-good morning? Don't think so! ;-)

Let's fly away.

Top: Zara; Cropped shorts: Hippie; Belt: Forever 21; Oxfords: SO! Fab; Bag: Vintage

Knowing that the day will be spent visiting my grandfather at the cemetery for his birthday and running some errands with the family, wearing heels was out of the question. Instead, I decided to wear something really comfy. Not only did my Oxfords give comfort; it also added an edge to my look. It's my favourite part of this outfit, really.

The shorts was actually an old pair of jeans that was turned into one by my mum. I paired it with a cute little top which I really like because of how its sides were made. I have the option to tie it into a ribbon or just leave it hanging, untied, maybe for a 'lazy' look. In this case, I chose to tie it so that my belt will be seen.

After this look, who would say that one cannot look stylish and be comfortable at the same time?
